A drive-up storage unit is an excellent choice for storing furniture, household items, business inventory, and many types of electronics. With proper packing and preparation, you can help keep your belongings in excellent condition throughout your rental.
Before placing items into storage, wipe down furniture and electronics to remove dust, dirt, and moisture. Allow everything to dry completely to help prevent mildew or odors.
Whenever possible, pack electronics in their original boxes. If those aren't available, use sturdy moving boxes with bubble wrap or packing paper to cushion delicate items.
Protect furniture with moving blankets, cotton sheets, or furniture covers. Avoid wrapping wood or upholstered furniture tightly in plastic, as it can trap moisture.
